Dell Motherboard

How to take the motherboard out of a Dell Dimension 2400.?

I have a Dell Dimension 2400, and I am looking to move it onto a new case, since the dell one fell completely apart. I unscrew all of the screws that I see holding the motherboard on the regular case, but there is still one corner that refuses to come off. I tried to remove the other side of the case to get it out, but that part of the case is unmovable, I took all of the other things out of the case as well, and that one part of the motherboard refuses to budge.

Here is a link to the Service Manual which shows the steps to remove the motherboard: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/dim2400/en/sm_en/sysboard.htm The motherboard should be able to be removed without damaging it.

Please note it can be difficult to get the motherboard to work in a non-Dell case.

I hope this helps.
