Test Probe

How difficult is to pass an emissions test in Southern California?

I have a Ford Probe Ford Windstar 96 and 04. I am moving South California in the summer and I read to get your Regerstraße must pass the emissions test. Lead well. The probe rotates slow and sometimes ill have a lot of miles. The Windstar is fairly new and well behaved. If I have a lot of trouble?

Welcome to smog II test, smog test the most difficult issue in the United States. Smog II controls NOx, nitrogen oxides (unburned fuel combustion chamber). Your Ford vehicles must pass easily, but it would be good to know where cars were purchased. are no cars in California, obviously, but I'm sure you have the emissions standard. If they do, must be installed before audit smog. the probe should be at idle smoothly. Miles is not a problem. the probe can run 300,000. Questions is necessary to make your emission inspection preference, make sure you have the necessary control devices before the smog test. standards, the test should be done first, if you forget something, you fail. It depends where you go a little too much. But for most, if new to the area, people will give you a break on this. Your vehicle may qualify for federal emissions compared to California because they were purchased out of state. capture, the annual variations of the law. Just ask. And to help you through the testing of NOx, using high gas octane in the testing process. before the idea was to get the engine HOT! However, that is, getting the right engine. if the combustion chamber is too hot, regular gasoline will burn fast and escape to the exhaust pipe (bad). if the room is cooled a bit, (make sure the engine is not very hot, as if they came from Arizona, be sure to use 50/50 antifreeze mixture. High octane gas burns slower, slower burning, more complete burn, no return real, except perhaps in the probe. but will reduce the number of NOx. Make sure you have a new air filter / own way. if the engine can not breathe, it will not survive well.
